Lube

Everyone who has been to one of my shows know that one of my favorite subjects is lube. Well I have decided to do a full article on the subject. When I say lube I don’t mean going to Jiffy Lube and getting your car serviced, I am talking about sensual lubricants.

Most people think of lubes as a basic tool that is used to just allow the thing to slide in and out, but there is a lot more to it than that. Did you know that lubes serve as a form of safer sex practice. Lube can help reduce friction, lowering the risk of condom breakage. Lube can also cause condom breakage if you use the wrong kind. These are things that everyone needs to know if you are going to be having intercourse.

I have studied many different brands of sensual lubricants and have chosen one brand to give details on. ID Lubricants has a large selection of lubes for many different usages and has been surveyed to be the #1 lube on the market. That is why I have chosen to use this brand for my article, but you can always ask me for another brand that is similar or experiment yourself to find what you prefer.

Lets start with the basic sensual lubricants, this is the non-oil based lubes. ID Glide is a basic lubricant that is clear, odorless, and water-based. Glide is always smooth and silky, long lasting and latex safe. This is the lube that is doctor recommended and Men’s Health magazine rated #1. (

Getting a little more complex, you have ID Millennium Moisturizing Lubricant. This is a pure silicone lubricant that is super slippery and does not dry out. It is the lube I call “the hot-tub safe lube“, you can use it underwater. It last up until you want it off. The lube requires soap and water to remove it. This is also a latex safe lubricant that is clear and odorless. It is fun to play with and you will be amazed.

That is all great, but lets get to something that will bring a little spark into the bedroom, ID Pleasure. This amazing lube is designed to increase sexual arousal. It uses a combination of Ginko Biloba and Red Clover to naturally enhance the sexual sensation. These ingredients are added to the ID Glide formula, so you have all the benefits of the Glide, along with added sensation. This one is also odorless, clear and latex safe.

If you want to heat things up a little, try the ID Sensation Warming Liquid. You can add it to ID Glide or Millennium. It warms on contact and provides a increase of sexual excitement. I recommend starting off with just the any other lube and then adding this after a while, to increase the pleasure. This is a tool for spicing things up. It is clear, water-soluble and latex safe.

I hate it when you introduce lubes into the foreplay and you want to do more oral sex before you start intercourse. That is where I have my favorite lube of all, Juicy Lubes. Juicy Lubes are a water-based and latex safe lube with added flavorings. They work great for oral and dual masturbation. You can apply it anytime during the sexual experience because you don’t have to worry about what it taste like. Juicy Lubes come in many different favors to float anyone’s boat. Here is a list of my favorites: Big Banana, Bubblegum Blast, Strawberry Kiwi, Chocolate Raspberry, Fresh Peach, Pina Colada, Wild Cherry, Vanilla Cream, and Caramel Cream. There are other flavors, but these are my favorites.

All of the lubes I have talked about are great for safer sex practices. There are some out there that are oil-bases products, these are not safe when used with latex condoms (Polyurethane condoms are the only condoms compatible when used with oil based lubricants). ID Cream is one of these oil-bases lubes. Oil-bases lubes are good for masturbation or dual masturbation were no penetration is going to occur. You should never use oil-based products on any sex toy ether. What oil-based products do is break down the latex surface, casing small holes in the condom. This will make the condom faulty and bodily fluid can pass through. In sex toys, the surface of the toy can be eaten away by the oil-based product and the toy it slowly destroyed.

Sex can be a lot of fun, but you can enhance it in many ways. As you have seen lube is more than a slippery liquid, it can be an important tool. Make it fun. Take your partner out and go shopping. You can even buy lubricates on-line. Foreplay does not always need to start in the bedroom, you can start in anywhere. So be safe and have fun.
