One year… So I recently went to see ‘Rent’ on the big screen and the opening number, “525,600 minutes/Seasons of Life” got me thinking…what about time? What about time that we share with our loved ones, our family, our friends? So here is a quick run down on my time for a year: 525,600 minutes as of January 1. 31,200 minutes every year for my commute to and from work Leaving me 494,400 minutes. 124,800 minutes every year for my 40 hour work week Leaving me 369,600 minutes. 174,720 minutes every year for sleep Leaving me 194,880 minutes. Now that sounds like a lot but think of it in terms of hours…I spend 64 hours at home on the weekends which leaves me 191,552 minutes to spend with the people I love…sounds good right…but for some reason I never have enough time to say I love you, to stay home on the couch and watch movies or football, to take long walks on the beach, to get to know someone better…it seems like time just flies by and then I’m left with just a few precious moments with family and friends… So my advice to everyone…cherish every moment you have, every hour, every day…because you may not have enough time to do everything you want to do and you may miss something or someone important. Until next time… With love and respect (Happy New Year…may 2006 bring you and your family the best)… Krystel Belle-Rose |
